We collect very little, we never sell it, and we do not track you across the web. This policy explains exactly what we do collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
WASAY LLC (“WASAY”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and is the controller of personal information collected through it. Contact: legal@wasay.com.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide. If you comment, we receive your name, email address, optional website and your comment. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you include.
- Technical information. Our hosting servers automatically log IP address, browser type, referring page, pages requested and timestamps, for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
- Device storage. We store your light/dark display preference and whether you have seen the intro animation on your own device. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, financial account, precise geolocation or biometric data), and we ask that you not submit it.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and secure the website (legitimate interests).
- To display, moderate and protect comments from spam (legitimate interests; your choice to comment).
- To respond to your messages and requests (to take steps at your request).
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use (legal obligation; legitimate interests).
4. How information is shared
We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract, such as our web host, email provider and anti-spam service, and with authorities where required by law. If you comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to display your profile picture; Gravatar’s privacy policy applies to that service. If a business transaction such as a merger or sale occurs, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.
5. No sale, no targeted advertising
We do not sell personal data, including sensitive or biometric data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites, our practices are the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing; since we engage in neither, no further action is required. No third parties are permitted to collect information about your online activities across sites through this website.
7. Retention
Comments and their metadata are kept while the comment is published. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain records.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, other U.S. state privacy laws, and the GDPR and UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email legal@wasay.com. We will verify the request, respond within 45 days, and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Appeal”; we will respond within 60 days. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and information is processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers.
10. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls and routine updates to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. To report a vulnerability, see Responsible Disclosure.
11. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any update here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will also note it prominently on the website before it takes effect.
