1. Why I can't install ProMagic Plus successfully?
  Please check if the BIOS is set as follow:
a. Disable Virus Scan function in BIOS;
b. Disable HD Power Management in the Power Management option in BIOS;
c. Set HD to LBA mode in BIOS If the above still don't solve the problem, please refer operation tips to adjust the settings.
2. Can I install ProMagic Plus on LINUX/UNIX or MS-DOS/Windows 3x/95?
  ProMagic Plus currently does not support non-Microsoft OS such as LINUX, UNIX etc. Installation cannot be executed under MS-DOS/Windows 3x/95 OS.
You could install Window 98/NT/2000/Me/XP OS on the first partition and then install ProMagic Plus. Next install MS-DOS/Windows 3.x/95 in the second or other partitions.
3. Does ProMagic Plus support SCSI HDD?
  ProMagic Plus only supports SCSI interface for Windows NT/2000/XP. If you are using Windows 9x OS, please DO NOT install ProMagic Plus, because it does not support SCSI HDD on Windows 9x OS.
4. Can I execute disk scan and defrag after installation?

Yes, you may defrag your system after installed ProMagic Plus.

BUT, please be aware ProMagic Plus' buffer area may be full during defrag, and a message will prompt to ask you to 'RESTORE' your system.  If you cancel to restore your system, you will not be able to enter Windows.

Once you have restored, you will NEVER be able to retrieve back restored system and data.

To avoid this situation, you have another option to defrag your system after installed ProMagic Plus.  You could run defrag under 'unprotected mode'.

Do NOTE, any actions done under 'unprotected mode' CANNOT be restored using ProMagic Plus.
5. Can I use floppy/CD-ROM startup after installed ProMagic Plus?
  Press F10 to enter the MANAGER MODE, and select Configure --> floppy startup, and enable it.
6. Mouse doesn’t work under ProMagic Plus DOS mode.
  Currently ProMagic Plus does not support USB mouse under DOS mode.
7. What should I do if I don’t want to restore my data/files together with my OS?

If you do not want to restore your data/files with your system (C:/), it is recommanded to partition your computer into at least 2 partitions. One for your system and applications, one for storing your data & files.

ProMagic Plus' "restore" function will restore just the system partition (c:/). If you wish to run restore on 'data partition' (D:/, E:/ F:/), there is a seperate data disk restore function available.

8. NTLDR_ missing after removed ProMagic Plus

If this error message showed up after removed ProMagic Plus program,
then try use Windows XP installation CD to repair the system.
It should fix the NTLDR_ missing problem, with a step by step wizard asking if you want to repair … file.

1. Removing ProMagic would not cause 'NTLDR missing'
2. ProMagic may still have a chance to fix NTLDR problem if it is still installed.
3. FBOOT would not be able to fix it.

Or go to command prompt and check if there are two ntldr under DOS:
NTLDR and NTLDR_

If you see these two files, delete 'NTLDR' and then rename 'NTLDR_' as 'NTLDR
9. How to uninstall ProMagic Plus

To uninstall ProMagic Plus, right click on ProMagic Plus icon on system tray and select open ProMagic Plus, then select UNINSTALL from side menu.  You will have to 'restore to initial point' or 'keep current system configuration' before uninstall.

CAUTION: 'Restore to initial point' will restore your system status and data back to the time when you first installed ProMagic Plus, OR back to status when you lastly ‘updated’ your initial point.  All new data created on C:/ after installed ProMagic Plus will be removed permanently.

Remember there is NO undo restore function available.  If you only want to restore your system instead of your new data, move them to other partition(s) before uninstall.

“Keep current system configuration” function will save all current status of your system and data.  If your system is corrupted or infected with virus, it will also be saved too.  So make sure your system is well and healthy if you wish to choose this option.
